Orange smiles.

Looks like Sami's counting our goals as he, Tyler, Antonio and Alex head back to center after Tyler's goal.

Sami and Alex in step with each other, with Daniel leading the way.

Alex, Cesar and Antonio battling for the ball.

The Jedi Knights seem to be on a roll (let's hope it keeps up!). They played very well this week against the Gladiators, who at first seemed to be a good match for us. Everyone started out the 8am game a bit sleepy, but by the 2nd quarter we woke up--first with a strike by Sami, followed shortly with a goal from Alex. By game's end, Alex had put away another one, and Tyler had scored as well.

Our goalies this week were Sami, Sean, Tyler and Jack--they held the Gladiators scoreless, and for the most part saw very little action. Sami made a great save, and Sean had a few small flurries of action--they all hung tough and played very well. Cesar, Tyler, Antonio, Adrian and Sean were on defense and all played good games back there (though they weren't necessarily always back!). Our front line this week was Daniel, Alex, Sami and Jack. All four put a lot of pressure on the Gladiators.

The boys are starting to gel a bit more--looking for passes, moving well together, and definitely finding their comfort zones on the field. I think our "natural" attackers are Alex, Sami, Sean, and Tyler. Jack and Antonio are both defensive minded (though Antonio can be tough up front too!). Daniel, Cesar and Adrian do well at both ends of the field, though all three tend to drop back into defensive mode--wherever they are they are working hard and doing a great job!

Looking forward to our next game:
12noon, Saturday, Oct. 8 on Field B
next practice: Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6pm
See you there!
